What is the Khione Engineering Sample & Your Roll?
The Khione ES is a limited edition, early production prototype of our Immersion Kooling System. Each unit is assembled using
high-quality, off-the-shelf components and represents a crucial step in our path toward full-scale manufacturing.
These units are fully functional, rigorously bench-tested, and designed to deliver industry-leading cooling performance. However, they are not final production models. Instead, they are offered as part of our commitment to open innovation and our belief in building great products with our community—not just for it.
Why It’s Called an Engineering Sample
“Engineering Sample” means this unit:

Is built to spec, but not mass-manufactured

May feature part substitutions based on supply chain availability

May require minor user assembly or configuration

May require user participation in data recording and collection

Is intended for advanced users comfortable with hardware integration

Does not yet have full UL/CE certification (pending final production)
A Note to Our Early Adopters
By backing the Khione ES, you’re not just purchasing a cooling system—you’re joining our development team in shaping the future of sub-zero computing. Each ES unit represents an active phase in our engineering process, and your participation is vital to refining the final production design.
As an early adopter, you agree to serve as a tester for the Khione system. This includes providing performance reports, feedback logs, and observations as requested, which help us meet key certification and validation requirements prior to mass production.
In appreciation of your contribution, the Engineering Sample price of $2,500 reflects a substantial discount from the projected retail price of $3,500. ES participants who complete all required reports and testing documentation will be eligible to exchange their Engineering Sample for a free upgrade to the Standard or Pro Edition upon final release.
If, however, a backer chooses not to participate in the required testing or fails to submit the agreed-upon reports, they will still retain their Khione ES unit, but will not qualify for the free upgrade. Should they wish to upgrade later, a $1,000 balance (the difference to the full retail price) will be required.

Disclaimer Summary

The Khione ES is a fully functional engineering sample, designed for early adopters who wish to actively participate in our development program. It is not intended for resale or mass deployment.

Assembly and setup may require moderate technical skill, and all ES units are provided “as is,” without standard consumer warranty coverage.

By purchasing an ES unit, backers agree to serve as test participants, providing performance feedback and testing data that contribute to product validation and certification. Completing this process qualifies backers for a free upgrade to the Khione Standard or Pro Edition upon release.

Backers who choose not to participate will retain ownership of their ES unit but will not be eligible for the complimentary upgrade. They may still upgrade at a later date by paying the $1,000 balance (the difference between the discounted engineering price and retail price).
